The Training Course

The Motorcycle Rider Advanced Training Course is a full day of intense, but fun training that will help develop the techniques, skills, coordination and confidence necessary for the student rider to be able to operate a motorcycle safely, efficiently and to its highest potential.  This type of training is available in very few locations around the country unless you are a police officer assigned to a motorcycle unit. Student riders must ride their own motorcycle during the training course.

All instructions are conducted on the range and will be approximately 7 hours long with a one half hour lunch break.  The first 15 minutes of the class will be for administrative purposes and the remainder will be riding your motorcycle.

Instruction is conducted at a 6 riders – 1 instructor ratio.  The Training Course takes a building block approach to learning the riding techniques of a motor officer.  Each exercise builds on new skills, knowledge and confidence acquired in the previous exercises.  The instructor(s) work with each student to make sure they understand and have learned the techniques to complete each exercise before proceeding to the next.  The techniques learned are constantly reinforced throughout the day to build muscle memory.  If the student rider is unable to consistently achieve exercises’ objectives, the instructor will counsel the rider out of the Training Course.  The exercises used in the training class have practical applications on everyday street motorcycle riding.
