I have been an MSF Rider Coach for over a decade and I haven’t been challenged this much on a motorcycle-training course.  Its very well done!  The opportunity to continue to practice previous exercises as we progressed to the new ones was GREAT.  That was the learning key for me.

The skills taught are a confidence builder.  Small class size gave plenty of practice time.

Thank you, I had a great time. You did a great job. I really got a lot out of the class.  On Sunday I took a ride with some friends and told them about your class. I showed them and told them some of the things we did.  I told them they need to take your class and I would do it again, it was fun.  Today I took a short ride and when I got onto a county road I found my self-doing U turns and circles.

But before I say anything else, I’d like to mention first that on my ride home from the class, I was able to apply three techniques I knew of that was reinforced and fresh in my mind from the class, one of which was a break-and-escape skill.  This is a textbook case.  A van in front of me signaled and decided to make a left turn into The Cabin Restaurant on Rt. 33 at the last minute and almost came to a full stop in the roadway in front of me.  I was going about 40 mph and was within a safe stopping distance of the van (3 – 4 car lengths); the cars in back of me were at a safe distance from me also.  I applied the break-and-escape skill and was easily able to avoid any mishaps.  The skill came automatically and I executed it perfectly being it was so fresh in my mind from the class and being one of the last exercises we did.  I felt really good and thankful about knowing the skill and being able to apply it.

Some of the instructions you mentioned while performing the exercises were invaluable.  As simple as it sounds, when I was doing the circle exercise you yelled out “Chin up.”  Well I know about head and eyes, but when you said chin up, that resonated with me (meaning “woe”) and made a big difference when I picked my chin up to perform the exercises, in addition to using my head and eyes.  Little nuances, little tweaks like that make a big difference and thankfully your expertise caught that.

The training course should be required for large bikes.  Improves riding skills and safety.

After just watching and now doing the training course, it really makes the most impression.  I never thought I’d be riding so much.  Very good amount of seat time.  I can’t wait to show my motorcycle-riding friends what I’ve learned.

The training course helped me a lot with my braking.  all of the exercises were important, some were more difficult than others but just as important.

The best and most comprehensive training course I’ve ever taken.  Job well done!  I would recommend this class to any motorcyclist.
